WATER TANK CLEANING ROBOT

 

 

ANNEXURE 1

This project is solely designed and developed with the perfection for the purpose of cleaning and sedimentation of the large water tanks and other water bodies.

 

Underwater sump cleaning robot named PANZER 2.0 is capable of cleaning the whole sump, which includes floor, walls, and ceiling. It can carryout cleaning process when tank is in fully operational condition. It is equipped with the various systemwhich gives the efficient cleaning. Various systemused in the system are as follows:-

 

1. Brushing and digging system

        a. Metal toothed roller

        b. Metal bristle brush

        c. Plastic bristle brush

              A. Metal toothed roller - To break the rock and solid part of sediments deposited at the bottom of the water sump.

              B. Metal bristle brush - To remove the sticky and strongly deposited mud particles at the bottom of the water sump.

              C. Plastic bristle brush - To collect all the loosely suspended fine particles of mud deposited at the bottom of the tank.

 

2. Powerful suction system - Powerful suction system capable of removing all mud from the bottom of the tank. - Powerful suction system consists of a duct line and a powerful mud pump to remove all the mud from the base of the sump.

 

3. Waterproof cameras - Specially designed underwater cameras capable of capturing high quality images and videos even at the depth of 50 meter in water.

 

4. Waterproof flood lights - Light weight LED flood lights enclosed in Aluminium body gives out high luminous light for better visibility in the dark areas in the sump.

 

5. Imagining and recording system - Imagining system gives out live video output of the work going in the water on the monitor. - Imagining system also allows for the better control of the robot inside the water. - Recording system records the videos and images and stores it for the further use.

 

6. Tracks - High end metal tracks driven by 3 phase waterproof motors enables easy handling and driving the robot inside the water sump. - Metal tracks allow the robot to drive on uneven surface without any obstruction.

 

7. Jetting system - Jetting system capable of jetting a pressure jet or spray of water or water mixed with sodium hypo chloride to remove the unwanted microorganism such as bacteria, algae and spider web and deposited mud and dirt on the walls and ceiling of the sump. - Jetting system has the capability of achieving the height of 30 feet from the nozzle.

 

8. Pan and tilt for the jetting and imagining system - Easily controllable 360° pan and tilt mechanism on the lift gives freedom to aim the camera and jet to each and every corner of the sump.

 

9. Easy controlling system - Easy controlling system for better and comfortable controlling of the robot in the sump without any problem. - Uses 3 phase power supply to control the robot. - Wireless remote for the easy access of the controls at any place on the site.

 

ANNEXURE 2

Water is getting scarce day by day and it is really important that we get pure water for household purpose. This water comes from an underground water tank which gets water directly from the river. Due to sediments in water, it forms a very thick layer of mud in the base of underground water tank. This thing if not cleaned can highly contaminate the water and can cause many water borne diseases. So it was traditionally cleaned by deploying a human labor inside the tank but this had high risk factors as the person can even die due to the pressure of water. Along with that the water flow had to be stopped because a person cannot work in flowing water.
 

This inspired us to come up with a very cost effective and sustainable technological solution which can clean the water tanks even when the water is flowing which not only reduces the cost of cleaning the water tanks, but also saves a person from fatal accidents under water and the household water received by millions of families is free from contamination. Our product is an unmanned guided under water vehicle which cleans the sediments from the base of underground water tank through a metal/nylon brush and a suction system is used to suck the sediments out of the sump. Through this we thrive to improve the quality of water available for household purpose.
